Kings Of Leon

I've been roaming around, Always looking down at all I seePainted faces fill the places I can't reach
You know that I could use somebodyYou know that I could use somebody
Someone like you
And all you know
And how you speak
Countless lovers undercover of the street
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like youOff in the nightWhile you live it up I'm off to sleep
Waging wars to shape the poet and the beatI hope it's gonna make you noticeI hope it's gonna make you notice
Someone like meSomeone like me
Someone like meSomebodySomeone like you
SomebodySomeone like youSomebody
Someone like you
SomebodyI've been roaming around
Always looking down at all I see
Good song xD

Ceasar Chavez

The video we seen on Ceasar Chavez yesterday was a great movie. The movie showed so much pride, passion, and dedication to change. The Video about the United Farm Work Union was an interesting film. Now i have a more or less understanding of why the farm workers really went on strike. The farm works of California went on strike because they believed that their working conditions that they were given were poor and unfair. The only thing that farmer workers wanted was to be treated well while they sweated their butts off while working on the fields. I am not really sure who said this in the video " Those whom are picking our food so we can have something to eat, do not even have enough money to put food on their tables. I believe that what this person said is fairly true because all their hard earn money goes into living and house expenses. They would work so hard out on the fields and receive little which was almost no pay

Language, Culture, and Pride "My Hawaii"

In many cultures language is very important. In the story “My Hawaii” by Nana Veary states that language, culture, and pride are very important. I agree with Nana. Language shows who you are, where you come from, Pride shows how much you love your race, and culture shows who you are and how you live its your way of life. For example my grandma told me once, “If you don’t like speaking Spanish then you don’t like being Mexican, and you don’t like the food!!” Nowadays I take pride in my culture, and language.
Language is very important for many cultures. For example in the story “My Hawaii” states that if you forget your language you forget who you are, where you are, and you lose your identity. Language is the way of life, its how you communicate with one another, with people you don’t know and the people who you do know. With out language no one will be able to communicate with one another. Language is the way of life. I’m glade to know that we know are language and other languages.
Pride is very important in any culture. In the story “My Hawaii” she mentions about pride. Pride is very important, it shows who you, and it keeps ones culture alive. Without pride any culture would fall. Pride shows how much people love there culture. For example, the Barbarians in the 3400BC were forced by the Rome to change the way they live and culture. The barbarians fought to the end, because they take pride in there culture and didn’t want to change the way they lived. So they fought for Language, Culture, and they had Pride. Pride to me is like is like a fire in all of “us”. It burns and grows when you eat, speak, act, the way your culture is. If you reject your culture the flame in you will die out and you will lose your pride. This is what I think what culture means.
Culture that moves every human that speaks, and takes pride. Hawaiian culture they care for one another, if they fish and catch a whole lot of fish. They only take what they need. Many Cultures have there way of life. For example, the Aztecs had human sacrifices. They believed that if they spilled blood to there god, he will heal the sick, wounded, he will make the harvest season go well, or he will guide us in war. These are some of the things they believed. Nowadays there are still sacrifices going on in some cultures. But it is now uncommon. The way of the Aztec culture is now gone, and the language and the pride also is gone.
In conclusion Language, and pride, is all part of culture. Now we have many cultures next to each other, and it is easy for some and hard for some to understand. But they way they live, and how people speak in there language shows how much pride they have in there language, and culture. I want to one day learn ever culture so I can learn about there pride and there language. Some cultures pride is stronger then others. Its just the way they were raised and thought.

War...

What does it mean to go to war? To wield a weapon, to take another mans life. War is nothing but hate and sadness. In the end no one wins, the world cries out, people scream stop, yet we still go on with the war. People running in fear, being manipulated by the government. War brings nothing but PAIN. Mothers losing there children, and husband. When the Rich raise war its the poor who die." When the power of love over comes the love of power, the world know peace."-Led Zeppelin

Unknown

It's fear of the unknown. The unknown is what it is. And to be frightened of it is what sends everybody scurrying around chasing dreams, illusions, wars, peace, love, hate, all that--it's all illusion. Unknown is what it is. Accept that it's unknown and it's plain sailing. Everything is unknown--then you're ahead of the game. That's what it is. Right?
